Are Structural Fumigation Services Worth the Cost?

What brought you here? Was it a termite problem? Bed bugs? Or are you merely a big fan of Breaking Bad? I ask because there are only a few specific instances where a structural fumigation is needed. So if your online searches have brought you here, you’re probably looking for a way out. I bet you need a fumigation and are trying to find an online source that says you don’t.

  • Well, Friend; You’re Barking Up the Wrong Tree.

For starters, we’re a professional pest control company – what do you think we’re going to recommend? But beyond that, if a structural fumigation has been recommended to you, we advise you to listen. If you’re dealing with a pest problem that is bad enough to need a fumigation, it must be pretty far gone.

  • What Do You Mean?

Well, a fumigation is successful because the gasses used can penetrate every part of the home. And why would we need such drastic measures? Because the infestation has spread throughout the whole house, and the only way to get rid of every last bug is to use gas.

  • But It’s a Bit Pricey…

Anything worth doing is. But let’s consider how you got into this position. Fumigation is recommended for bed bugs or termites, and both of these critters are very small. It will take a while for them to spread throughout the home. So if we’ve reached fumigation status, you’ve really let this problem grow unchecked. These bugs have been present for weeks, if not longer.

  • So What Can I Do?

There really is no choice. If you want to rid your home of these insects, a structural fumigation is your only reliable option. You won’t be able to exterminate every termite without it. As for bed bugs, you can wash linens and treat furniture, but these insects are expert hiders. Without a fumigation, it’s very possible for some to escape your grasp.

So despite the cost, a fumigation is truly worth the price: unless you’d like to allow bed bugs or termites to stick around for the foreseeable future.
