- Leaving Wood Lying Around Your Property
Termites are creepy, and can cause a ton of damage to your home. Leaving wood around your yard is a great way to entice them. Termites live outdoors most of the time, and you can easily end up with a termite nest right next to your home if you leave piles of wood in your backyard since they eat wood, and this pile is a reliable food source. Additionally, don’t allow dead tree stumps to persist outside, and keep firewood in the garage.
